Twin Rock

Carrico Engineering was involved in all aspects of this beautiful 27-lot, 75-acre rural residential subdivision located a few miles southwest of the City of Verona and the Epic Campus. The project commenced with conceptual drawings of the future road network and stormwater management features while maximizing the residential lot potential. Adam attended many municipal meetings to gain all approvals for the project. Final design drawings, stormwater modeling and permitting were completed prior to starting construction. Finally, Adam was the onsite construction administrator to see the project take shape and get to the point where lots could be sold and built upon.

Dairy Ridge Heights

Carrico Engineering worked with a local landowner/developer to create this gorgeous 13-lot subdivision that features a newly constructed 2-acre pond for the residents to enjoy along with a newly restored prairie and walking trails. This development is located a few miles west of the City of Verona and the Epic Campus south of Dairy Ridge Road in the Town of Verona.  Adam worked closely with the owner, municipalities and contractors to design, gain approvals and construct this beautiful new subdivision in south-central Wisconsin.

Rural Residential Home – Mount Horeb

Carrico Engineering worked closely with the homeowner, builder, contractors and municipal agencies to design and gain approvals for a stormwater management plan for a large rural residential home build in rural Mount Horeb. The homeowners were interested in constructing a large pond on their property to meet stormwater management requirements, but also to use for recreation and aesthetics. The pond is over a third of an acre and ten feet deep to allow for a solar powered aerator to maintain a bluegill and bass population for fishing. Additionally, a sandy beach area at one end allows easy access to the pond for swimming. The overall project added more than 20,000 square feet of impervious surfaces and was required to obtain stormwater permitting and erosion control permitting. Carrico Engineering worked to obtain all site permits to build this unique project.

Rural Residential Home – Verona

Carrico Engineering worked with the homeowner, builder, contractors and municipal agencies to design and gain approvals for a new single-family home located in a picturesque setting in rural Verona. The long, winding driveway is approximately 1,200 feet and leads to the new residence at the top of a hill.  The driveway was designed by Carrico Engineering to meet Town requirements where switchbacks were necessary to meet slope requirements. With the length and width of driveway, new home, accessory building, walkways and patios, the new impervious surface totals were in excess of 20,000 square feet. Therefore, a stormwater management permit was required in addition to erosion control and WDNR permitting. Three small bioretention basins were designed and strategically placed to control stormwater runoff for the property while maintaining aesthetics.

Long Driveways in South-Central Wisconsin

Carrico Engineering works with landowners, homeowners, builders, and contractors to design and gain approvals for challenging driveways for future homesites all over south-central Wisconsin. All municipality’s driveway ordinances vary, where a design meeting these rules are essential to gain approvals. Topography, waterways, drainage patterns, forested areas and farm fields can present challenges to design a driveway that is not only desirable for the homeowner but also meets municipal requirements. Adam analyzes each site’s topography, natural features and drainage patterns to design a driveway that meets the client’s wishes while adhering to the requirements of the municipality.

“I worked with Carrico Engineering on two large residential development projects in Verona, Wisconsin. Carrico Engineering took the lead in designing the new neighborhoods, gaining municipal approvals and overseeing construction. Adam helped us accomplish our goals in creating these beautiful new neighborhoods for many area residents to call home. Adam’s overall expertise in residential development, site planning, ability to lead the development team and effectively navigate the municipal approval process was flawless. I would recommend Carrico Engineering for any residential development projects.”
